Sometimes the need in developing nations is so dire we can easily forget that American people are struggling as well.Hartman House initiatives in the United States are simple: to prevent hunger and hopelessness. No individual with the resources made available in America should ever have to struggle with hunger. With the many opportunities present in such a country, no American should ever face the feeling of hopelessness.

How do we prevent hunger you ask? Every year we put on a Thanksgiving Harvest where we provide underprivileged families with a frozen turkey and every Thanksgiving fixing you can think of. With these meals, hundreds of individuals are able to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner from the comfort of their own home and receive a helping hand in their time of need. Currently, our Thanksgiving Harvest takes place in Texas, but we plan to travel to wherever these meals are needed most!

Hartman House is also a huge contributor to various non-profit organizations within the inner Los Angeles area. We have donated to various causes including sponsoring events to prevent Human Trafficking, providing hundreds of bikes for inner-city kids in downtown L.A., supporting back to school programs, filling 2500 backpacks with school supplies, donating to charity Christmas events and so on. It is just as important for us to do our part right here in our own back yard!

Hartman House works in developing nations and the United States. Where there is a need - we find it. As it turns out, helping others takes hard work and a lot of it, but we are determined to make a change. We currently work in 4 countries: Guatemala, Haiti, Africa, and the United States. This is only the beginning. We hope to continue adding more locations in the future, but in order to do so we need your help. Click your country of interest to find out which programs take place there.
