Students
As a student, you have more influence than you may realize. Whether in elementary, middle, high school, or college, you all have the ability to create change. You are living in a “NOW” generation where you, the youth, are the driving force. It only takes one person, to follow through with one simple idea, to start a movement.

Do you want to help fund projects in developing nations like Guatemala, Haiti, and Africa? Do you want to prevent hunger and poverty right here in the U.S.? Well, you can.


Start a campaign on your campus.

Check out our Projects to see what interests you most. Explore our website to find out more information to present to your school. Check our Media Center for downloadable images and content to share. If you find that you are in need of further information or would simply like to run your ideas past a Hartman House team member, please do not hesitate to contact us. And yes an actual human will answer your phone call. Remember, you are not in this alone, we want to help you as much as we can along the way.

Once you decide which program you want to fund, talk with your Associated Student Body (ASB) and Key Clubs. It is their role to promote social activities within the school and they should be more than happy to cooperate. If your local ASB cannot help, the next step would be to speak with a Guidance Counselor and/or Assistant Principal.

Once your idea is set in motion the creativity begins. How can you raise awareness and funds on your campus for Hartman House? Will you start a fundraiser? Host a school dance for change? Post an article in the student newspaper, or even call forth an assembly? The sky is the limit.


Word of Advice!

Get help. Talk to your friends, teachers, and fellow students for ideas and help. Yes, you will have to be the driving force behind this motion, but the end result will be beyond what you could have ever imagined. Hartman House will send you personal footage and photos from the program you assisted to share with your campus and peers.

Now go make a difference. “We can for those who can’t,” and so can you.
 


Yes we need YOU! A large portion of what Hartman House does depends upon the involvement of our donors and volunteers. Hartman House sponsors many events throughout the year and can always use a helping hand. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date with volunteer opportunities.
