Hartman House founders, Butch and Julieann Hartman, have always been huge supporters of non-profit organiztions. Having received many blessings in their life together, it was their desire for other people to benefit as well. Yet, they did not like questioning whether or not their funds were being used for the actual cause. Many times donor monies are distorted or even lost in organizational costs and never reach the intended source.

One of the driving forces behind the initiation of Hartman House was so we could have control of the distribution of our own funds.The Hartman’s wanted to know their funds would reach the mouths of the people and not be lost in organizational costs.

Many Hartman House projects have been completely funded by the Hartman’s. They not only run the foundation, but are one of the biggest contributors to the organization. Having said that, the Hartman’s are still legally limited to how much they are allowed to donate to their own non-profit.

This is where the support of our donors and volunteers is greatly needed. Rest assured that 100% of your donation will directly fund the project of your choice. Hartman House has little to no overhead costs, and even so, donations are never used for operating costs. Everything involved with our work is paid for, out of pocket, by the founders and Board of Directors, from plane tickets and liability insurance to stationary and ink.
